  1. Bummer. Tell us more! (If you can bear to.) What kind of plant is that? What is leaf spot? And how do you get rid of this botanical chicken pox?

  2. They sure do come up with clever names for plant diseases. I think my favorite is "brown patch" for brown patches of dead grass in the yard.

  3. Hmmm. Our logustrum (?) has had that periodically in the front yard. It typically occurred on branches that were hidden in the underbrush, so it was an indicator that the bush needed a good haircut. The yellow leaves fall off pretty easily, too, so I always wondered if it was a lack of water/nutrition.
But, my green thumb is actually purple, so I'm probably not the best one to ask!! Hope you find out some answers!

  4. Sara, you're probably right about the pruning -I do need to go out there and get rid of all the infected leaves at least. My roses usually suffer from the same thing in the summer...I was surprised to see it attacking early this year and in a different place.
    arg!
