holiday preparations

I'm getting ready for Thanksgiving. While some people are buying cranberries and turkeys, I am buying wool! This lovely bunch will be delivered in person to my sister Christie when we arrive on her Chicago doorstep this coming holiday. I found a great deal on this yarn so we have plans to make cozy blankets for the next set of cousins in our bellies. Our first children are five months apart, our seconds are seven and our thirds should arrive within two months of each other -coming close behind youngest sister Lisa's firstborn. (I think our parents are proud of the grand baby factory they managed to produce!) I love that our kids are all so close in age, I just wish they could see each other more often. Someday I hope we can find a way to live closer together but at least the long drive should give me time to make this little guy...

Actually, I think the drive is long enough to make about ten of this little guy. Oh boy.

  3. Gorgeous yarn! Can't wait to get started. Oh, and I love that bear. He's beautiful. Maybe I can learn from you while you're here . . .
