peacefully

reading in the sunshine
I stumbled upon the August break as I was considering the need for a bit of quiet.
Vacation is winding down, routines are changing, new things are starting...even the weather is turning.  Life is in transition.
I'm still here but I'm just going to sit peacefully beside you with a book or perhaps my long-neglected sewing machine or I might even disappear into the woods with my kiddos for a bit, but I'll certainly be stopping every so often to quietly share my pictures with you.

  1. Well, I will most certainly be doing the August Break thing on Flickr. Not sure if I can swing it on the blog, too. :)

  2. I found your blog over at The WoodLand School and have enjoyed looking through your posts. What a beautiful family you have. I love the feeling of joy that comes through in your photos and writing. Thanks for the inspiration!

  3. I love this image, I'm always trying to make images of people reading but never once thought of a self portrait. It's quite lovely. I'm sure I'll never be able to do it as well as this.

  4. So happy to have found your blog. I'm the owner of faithdeployed.com, and I'm scheduling a blog tour for both of my books which just won national awards from the Military Writers Society of America. Please email me so I can send you the official invitation to participate (includes give-aways for your readers).

    Thanks!
